Finding the Perfect Maternity Bathing Suits

With swimsuit season rapidly approaching and already here for many people in the warmer states, women are making mad dashes to multiple stores in order to find the perfect swimsuit. For women who are pregnant, this already frantic time of finding the perfect suit to compliment your body becomes a bit more complicated, or so it would seem. In actuality, the array of swimwear designed specifically for expectant mothers is vast and full of variety. With swimsuits tailored specifically for your changing body, maternity swimwear designers have ensured that you can easily find the right suit for your body and style. Know what to look for and you will be sure to find a comfortable yet incredibly stylish maternity swimsuit.

For expectant mothers who are ready to show some belly, a bikini is a fashionable yet comfy option. Bikinis are great, as they allow plenty of room for your baby bump to grow. You will never feel constricted or tightness on the belly. Bikinis provide sexiness while still being classy and functional. Belabumbum Maternity designs the Aqua Ring Maternity Bikini, a popular style this season, as it exemplifies the hot summer trend of the floral print. The adjustable tie halter top provides support and the ability to fit the suit specifically to your body. With stylish silver rings at the bust and hips, this is a fashionable yet functional option. The Jill Boy Bikini is another great bikini option. For women who want the unrestricted feeling of a bikini but prefer a bit more coverage on their bottom, the Jill’s boy shorts are perfect. Super stylish yet providing that extra bit of coverage, you will be sure to feel comfortable all day long. For expectant mothers looking to bare a bit of skin while maintaining their comfort and style, a bikini is definitely the way to go.

If a bikini is not quite right for you but you would still like to show a bit of your belly off, a tankini is a fantastic swimwear option. Maternity swimwear designers love the tankini, as it is functional yet fashionable. Designed with an emphasis on the empire waist and then gently flowing over your belly, the tankini is incredibly figure flattering. One of my personal favorites this season is the new Coco O-Ring Tankini from Maternal America which, with its beaded tie neckline and deep green shade, perfectly exemplifies the tribal/safari trend so popular this season. The adjustable necktie and side tie bottoms are great, as they allow you to fit the suit perfectly to your body.

Comfy yet stylish, you will look and feel great! Another tankini which is very popular this season is the Sweet Heart in Black from Prego Maternity. This swimsuit, with its sweetheart neckline and wider halter straps, has a cute retro look. The bust is incredibly supportive as it has an adjustable tie at the neck. Cute bottoms complete this stylish maternity swimsuit! Overall, a tankini allows you to have the feel of a bikini with a bit more coverage.

For those women looking for a stylish and sexy one-piece, there are several great maternity swimwear options. A one piece is a fantastic choice, as you will have great mobility and never worry about readjusting your suit. The One Piece Keyhole Swimsuit from Maternal America is sexy and stylish yet functional. The adjustable halter tie provides versatility while the keyhole design at the bust is very fashionable. With plenty of room in the belly to grow, you will want to wear this suit throughout your pregnancy! The Jade Empire Tank from Prego Maternity is another gorgeous one-piece option. Its beautiful rich color is eye-catching and incredibly flattering, as the jewel tone looks great against all skin types. With wide adjustable straps and an empire waist, the suit is both flattering and functional. Whether you are relaxing by the pool or swimming laps, this suit will keep you feeling and looking great! One-pieces create a sleek and streamlined look, while ensuring your comfort throughout the day.

Overall, finding the style that is right for you while shopping for maternity swimwear ensures you will be comfortable and feel beautiful throughout the summer. There are many options available for expectant mothers, from bikinis to one-pieces, and with a little searching you can find the perfect option for your personal fashion and lifestyle.

Guide To Buying The Best Swimsuit According To Your Body Type

Today the options are varied when you step out to buy swimwear. There is a large variety available in shades, prints, designs that you end up being confused. The rule of thumb is comfort first with fashion and trends featuring second in the list of priorities. Very often women tend to be so impressed by models with well toned bodies that they try to squeeze themselves into an ill fitted swimwear to imitate them. This makes them uncomfortable and the sense of low esteem speaks aloud from their persona. Every individual is uniquely gifted and must respect one’s own individuality. For designer fashion swimwear from most renowned designers including Gottex, Anne Cole, Ralph Lauren, Vix, Juicy, DKNY and many more, Swimsale.com is one stop shop.

Feel good to look good is the latest buzzword. If your swimwear is comfortable enough, the confidence will definitely sparkle in your eyes and everyone you meet will be attracted to you. There’s no single size that fits all owing to the different physical stature and shape of different individuals. You can be your best critic or seek a friend’s help while selecting a swimwear that gels well with your personality. The best swim suit is the one that flaunts your finer points while concealing the not so great ones. Check out our sure shot guide which will ensure a smooth sailing while settling on swimwear:

Halter-tops or molded under wire cups are suitable for those with full bust

Woman with full breasts should look for a swimsuit that supports them nicely. One alternative is to wear a bathing suit or two-piece that sports one color on the top and another on the bottom. The most suitable swimsuits will be the ones with halter-tops or molded under wire cups to keep everything in place. An additional strap across the back, along the bust line for additional support is also a great idea. This will give them a more proportionate look.

However, if you have a small bust area, go for a padded bikini top and try enhancing your bottom area with nicely detailed bottoms. Use same pattern for top and bottoms.

Boy cut bottoms for those with fuller bottom

Boy cut bottoms will minimize the large hips and give an illusion of proportionate rear end. Apart from being comfortable, they look really cute. Avoid the revealing bottoms that will make you uncomfortable. Bright colors for the top are a nice treat for the eyes. That will help in drawing attention from your rear end. Diagonal prints will do the job for you.

Wear one piece swimsuits to hide a large tummy

For the ones with a large belly, one piece suit is the way to go to create a just right kind of impression. Printed swimwear takes away the focus from your belly and gives an optical illusion of a slimmer you. Halter suits too are a great bet in hiding your belly and creating an elongation effect.

Go for tankini if you have a curvy figure.

If you are curvy, a tankini swimsuit top with hipster bottoms would suit the best. Hipster bottoms won’t add to your curves and will be just right. One piece swimsuits with strategic cutouts on the sides might also fit well.

Pick a right plus size swimsuit to look sexy

With the right type of swimsuits full figured women can also look beautiful and sexy. Swim wear with horizontal stripes is a big no. Go in for swim suits that offer an option of mix and match so as to create an impression of well defined curves. As for the colors, do stick to dark shades that tend to create a slimmer look. One-piece bandeau will do wonders for a full figure. A hint of sexiness with the semi exposed upper part of the body will make heads turn at the beach or by a pool side.

Tan Lines

Tan lines are stripes formed on the body mainly due to sun tanning. Tanning is a kind of process done by many people to improve their physical beauty and sexual attractiveness. During the tanning process, people wear different kinds of clothing. The portion of the body that is not exposed to sunlight will be a lighter shade than the tanned portion. This is often referred to as tan lines. Certain people consider tan lines fashionable as it implies that tanning is done naturally on a tropical beach. Some people find tan lines sexually attractive.

A perfect tan is the one with minimum tan lines. One way to minimize the tan lines is to adjust the straps of the bikini periodically. Another means is by wearing a swimsuit made of highly developed and technologically advanced fabric that offers the opportunity to get rid of tan lines altogether. The advantage of these types of swimsuits is that it allows the sun’s rays to pass through the fabric. It also prevents the ultraviolet rays (both UVA/UVB rays) from striking the areas that are not accustomed to tanning. Nowadays, these suits are available in a wide variety of colors and cuts and are more affordable than when they first were on the market.

Yet another method to avoid tan lines is sunless tanning. Self-tanning has many advantages over the traditional suntan. In the case of self-tanning, the person himself can decide how much dark he/she should be, rather than leaving it up to chance.

For those seeking no tan lines, endless varieties of strapless sandals, clothes, towels, indoor tanning lotions, and other related products are readily available, and most of these products are available online.

The Quest – Finding the Best Fitting Plus Size Swimsuit

With the weather warming up and summer vacation quickly approaching, I decided to go on a quest for the best fitting plus size swimsuit. We all know that swimsuits can be pretty pricey, but I personally am willing to pay the price for something that is not only durable, but figure flattering and stylish. The last thing you want to have on your vacation is an ill-fitting swimsuit since you will basically live in it for however long you are away at your tropical paradise.

One of the most important things to me when shopping for a plus size swimsuit is fit. As a Mother, Wife, and Plus Size Model it is important to me to NOT have all of my “business” showing to the entire world. I look for a swimsuit that I can not only wear from patio to poolside, but one that I can wear to the water slide park or for a day at the beach with the family. It is always nice to have a couple of different options based on the occasion, but I know not all of us have that luxury so we can make 1 suit work for all of the above.

On my quest I visited many different stores in the mall that I know carry plus size clothing such as Torrid, Macys, and JC Penny to check out their swimsuit collections. At each store I tried on a variety of swimsuits and had no luck at all. I just could not find a suit that fit me right and was stylish at the same time. I came home feeling frustrated and exhausted, so I decided to sit down and browse the web for other options. While searching online I found some amazing plus size swimsuit styles that were nowhere to be found at the mall on sites that I knew focused on plus size fashion and sizing.

The first site I sought out was LaneBryant.com and I found the Miraclesuit “Oceanus” one-piece swimsuit for $134.00 available in Black and Ocean Blue. This is a classic look is for any occasion and has special stretch fabric that provides extra support to give you a noticeably slimmer silhouette. You cannot go wrong with this swimsuit!

The second site I visited was AlwaysForMe.com where I fell in love with the “Twist Front Bandeau” one-piece plus size swimsuit for $79.00 available in a variety of colors. This swimsuit has been featured in a variety of magazines such as O, The Oprah Magazine and is considered one of their top selling swimsuits. This suit has everything I am looking for in a plus size swimsuit. It has full tummy control, shirred sides that help create a curvy waistline, a super cute skirt that provides some coverage but doesn’t make you look like you are wearing a full swim dress, and the halter strap can be removed. AMAZING! This style is perfect to go from patio to poolside at the resort. I also love how easy it is to shop on their site and how much detail they give you on each and every item. You also can shop by your body type A+ to Alwaysforme.com.

Lastly I visited Swimsuitsforall.com I found the Delta Burke “Tigress” plus size halter tankini in brown for $98.00. This suit is super cute and has a high v-neck for good coverage and cinched sides with a drawstring tie detail. This is a great two-piece style and works perfect for an apple shaped girl. Love it!

These are just 3 plus size swimsuits that I found to be the best in durability, fit, and style. I feel that all women of every size and shape deserve to wear beautiful, stylish swimsuits and feel confident. So far the plus size collections I found on-line for 2009 have some amazing choices to fit every shape. So have fun this season, be adventurous, try something new, and always love the skin you are in.

You Don’t Need to Lose Weight to Look Great In a Swimsuit

Swimsuit season. Those two little words can strike terror into the heart of the bravest, most competent American woman. However, if approached correctly swimsuit season can be significantly less traumatic this year.

Never, under any circumstances, try on swimsuits at the store. Store mirrors and lighting can be far too unflattering for your delicate psyche. Pick out a couple of suits, at least one in a size larger than you think you wear, buy them and take them home to try on. Yes, this will involve returning at least one of them, but you will feel so much better about yourself. If you’ve ever had the experience of trying on several suits, all of which “made you look fat” and leaving the store in tears, you’ll appreciate the comfort of your home even more.

On your way home, stop by a Target, K-Mart or Wal-Mart. You are about to make the best purchase of your life! For around $20 you can buy a mirror that measures about 12 inches wide by abut 48 inches tall. It is meant to be adhered to a wall or door. Do not adhere it. Lean it against a wall of the room in which you will be trying on your swimsuits. Make sure that the bottom of the mirror is at least 12 inches away from the wall; it’s tilting backwards. A mirror tipped in that fashion will make you look long and slim. Then, and only then, are you ready to try on your suits.

It is said that “your perception determines your reality.” What the mirror does is help you shift your perception/reality.

Research has shown that most women “see” themselves as heavier than they really are. All we’re doing now is readjusting your “sight” to one that may be more reality based.
