Summer is almost here and for many, this is a wonderful fun time of days at the beach doing all manner of recreational activities. This can also be a time with friends and family at the family or neighborhood pool. Families also travel to hotels. With the weather being warm and conducive, this is also a time for putting on one’s favorite shorts or bikini.

Bikinis are a favorite for females especially during summer or if one lives in a country or part of the country that has warm to hot weather. In the US we usually see new bikini styles being peddled by major stores as we approach the summer season. Today, bikinis are getting smaller and it has now become necessary to shave the bikini area in order to be presentable. In some societies or even states, the visibility of bikini hair is considered distasteful while in others there is not a big deal.

In the West, the image portrayed by magazine and tabloid models is that any kind of extra body hair other than on the head is “un-cool”. Because of this, ladies go to extra lengths to shave off their armpits, arms, legs and bikini area in order to spot the latest and trendiest bikinis for the summer. One of the greatest annoyances when it comes to shaving the bikini area is the razor bumps that appear almost immediately. But there are a few tactics one can use to eradicate them completely.

One of these tactics is to always use a new razor. Many ladies reuse their razors and this is one of the major contributing factors to bikini razor bumps. This is because when the blade gets dull, it can no longer shave close and the hairs are edged unevenly leaving a pointed end that later grows and re-enters the skin causing painful bumps.
